Recent Realities Vol. 5

It’s been a while since I’ve last typed a Recent Realities post. I hadn’t written for this column since October — whoops! Here is a new post filled with some of my Seoul adventures from last month, including me trying some new food items. There is a new thing I am looking forward to in February, but I guess I should finish January first, haha! Speaking of January, I also realised that this is a pretty good month in terms of having a lot of days off. Oh, and Amazon Rewards Visa has become fabulous!

What a rough week! Work practically pushed me over the edge — in fact, this week felt way harder than my first week at work. I really hope next week is better because if it’s this week repeated, I’ll scream until I go hoarse! I mean, it was so bad to the point that I decided to get a drink with dinner last night. Thankfully, today made up for my horrible week, and I’ll be sharing the awesomeness of today in this post along with a couple of recent happenings.

Blogger Hangout: Chansoriya

I met another blogger, Chansoriya! She and I hadn’t known each other online that long, but we still met up. After all, I never turn down the opportunity to meet another blogger who visits here! She came to Seoul for two weeks, and I was able to meet up with her twice — a blessing since my commuting has made things a bit difficult with my social life. We met, had great food and drinks, and enjoyed each other’s company. I must say, it was a fabulous hangout!

Blogger Hangout: Shayne

I had the opportunity to meet up with Shayne, the third blogger friend I met this year! She visited Seoul, and she stayed at the guesthouse near my place. Like I did with Thao and Holland, I helped Shayne with her itinerary and helped her get around Seoul the first couple of days. Unfortunately, I still had work, so I didn’t really get to hang out with her during the week, but we still managed to meet up quite a bit despite my horrendous 5:30am work shift.
