Recent Realities Vol. 12

With it being March (where has the time gone?), I figure it’s time to re-visit my blog. I really meant to blog more often here, but instead I’ve been occupied by a few things that keep me offline. Work has kept me busy, so I’ve been escaping reality with video games, and reading. But amidst that, I also did a couple of other things that are more productive.

January Jollies

January was my birthday month, and it kept me on my toes. I bought myself a new Nintendo 2DS XL. I also did a digital perm (had to do it twice because the first round wasn’t good) and had Ethiopian food with a friend. It was nice discovering an Ethiopian restaurant in my area. I also met up with a friend whom I’ve not seen since 2000, so it was great hanging out with her :3 While hanging out with her, I discovered the best pizza restaurant in my area.

Gaming Galore

I mentioned that I was sucked into gaming. Along with my new 2DS XL, I’ve also been purchasing PS Vita games because this will be the last year for the system. I adore my PS Vita, even if it didn’t get much love from the gaming community. That aside, I had this desire to re-play the Gyakuten Kenji games, and I also finally beat Code: Realize ~ Guardian of Rebirth ~ after starting it in 2017. I also bought a new R4 for my 2DS since my ancient one for the DS was conked out. Needless to say, this will be a big gaming year for me, haha.

Bread Baking

One of the things I’d been wanting to learn was to make bread. Chibi Toaster came by a few weeks ago to teach me the bread making process. We had a lot of fun, but I can see that this process definitely requires patience! So here’s my first bread and cinnamon rolls from scratch :D

Travel Thoughts

Amidst all of my happenings, the main thing that’s been on my mind is my trip to London in a couple of weeks. I cannot wait, for this will be the first time I’ll ever head to that part of the world — I’m finally leaving the Pacific, haha! It’s going to be an amazing trip since I’ll be reunited with one of my friends whom I’ve not seen since 2010 or so, and I’ll finally meet about three online friends for the first time, one of them being Chynna! My next blog post will definitely be about my lovely London trip!

  1. Chantelle on

I’m excited for your London trip. It’s inspiring how you pick a location, plan things out, and then go. I hope you enjoy the PS Vita games too. I don’t know how long they’ll last you – but hopefully the year? As always, I’m glad to see you blogging!

  4. The Nintendo 2DS XL looks awesome! I still have my Nintendo DS Lite, but tbh I don’t play it very often. I love digital perm on people who aren’t me so I am sure it looks amazing. It awesome that you got see friends you haven’t seen for a long time.

Wow, that bread looks amazing, I think the only thing I’ve done from stratch baking wise was some cinnamon rolls and some thing that I am not sure was a muffin or a cupcake. It’s so hard and time consuming, I applaud anyone who could do that.

Good luck on your trip and safe travels!
