TC’s Treasures: December 2016

Today’s the final first Tuesday of 2016! That means it’s time to do the last TC’s Treasures post! Like last year, I will do a recap of my favourite posts I wrote in 2016. Read on to see what posts I was keen on the most.

January 11, 2016 ~ Dream Destinations ~ I really enjoyed writing this post because I was able to share some places I’d like to travel in the future. I do hope to make it to Europe within the next few years, but Japan keeps calling my name. Just thinking about Japan makes me excited for my Hakodate trip in April. I can scratch off Hokkaido off my list in that post!

February 13, 2016 ~ Final Fantasy Piano Opera ~ As a lover of Final Fantasy, I was stoked to attend another FF music concert. This was a piano opera I went with the infamous Eddy, and it was a night of fantastic music for the both of us.

March 18, 2016 ~ Rhythmic Rendezvous ~ One thing I did this year, after meaning to do it for a while, was buying my own digital piano. I was really stoked to finally cross that off my huge to-do list, but I didn’t get to play on it much this year due to so many new changes. I will do my best to play more in 2017!

March 21, 2016 ~ On Meeting Online Friends ~ I wrote about my thoughts on meeting online friends. I adore meeting them in person, and I was so lucky to meet four of them this year! I met Thao, Holland, Shayne, and Chansoriya. This really was the year of meeting online friends!

April 11, 2016 ~ Siblings I’ll Never Meet ~ I feel that this was one of my more personal posts this year. It wasn’t an easy topic for me to share, but I wrote it to share my story, and I don’t regret it at all. I only hope I can do the opposite of what I’ve written one day.

May 14, 2016 ~ Significant Books ~ As an avid reader, I had a fun time compiling a list of books that have made a huge impact on me and was surprised by the amount. I know there will be more to come, for reading will be a life-long hobby for me.

September 17, 2016 ~ Supporting Steptember ~ This is the other personal post I wrote this year, and not only did I get to share my experience of living with a mild form of cerebral palsy, but I also helped Georgie and her team raise a good chunk of money towards their fundraising for cerebral palsy awareness!

October 16, 2016 ~ The Importance of Bum Days ~ I absolutely adore this post because bum days are very important to me. In other words, without these days of rest, I’d lose my sanity! Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, giving yourself a bum day is important!

November 11, 2016 ~ Aigoo Adventures: Sokcho 2016 ~ I didn’t travel overseas this year, but I did travel in-country and returned to Sokcho! This was an amazing solo trip with photos capturing the beautiful views and sights.

November 19, 2016 ~ Captivating Canvas ~ I bought my first traditional artwork this year, and this post is all about the gorgeous painting that has captured my heart. I am not sure if this has opened a new can of worms for me, but I do not regret buying this painting!

And that’s it! TC’s Treausres will return in January because I do like sharing things I am currently loving. Going back to this month’s favourites, I feel like I’ve not written a lot of the more intimate personal posts compared to 2015, but I hope to remedy that in 2017. I hope to write more interesting topics in the new year. In fact . . .

What are some topics you’d like to see me blog about in 2017? What are some of the posts you liked from me this year? Share with me in the comments!

  1. How awesome! I love that you have an entire collection of 2016 here and are able to look back at the year at a glance.

Hmmm…I don’t have any topics in general, but I guess I would love to see more pictures of Seoul if you’re comfortable with it.

  2. Oooh I remembered most of these posts (hurray with being more active with comments this year XD). I can see the love that you have for Japan! I’m excited about your trip next year ;). For symphonic selections, you should record yourself playing the digital piano. That’d be a unique post!

It’s awesome that this is a year where you shared some really personal posts. While you’re raising awareness, you’re also becoming more comfortable with sharing these details with us ♥.

Keep on being yourself next year XD! I enjoy reading your posts- especially since you have a wide range of topics to blog about.

  3. This is such a great idea! I’m always forgetful, so this is a great way to look past on the things you’ve gone through. I think blogging is great that way!

Thanks for feeling comfortable enough to share so many personal stories with us <3 Looking forward to your future posts!

  4. I enjoyed reading this and seeing what your favourite posts from your blog were! :) Some of these were my favourites from your blog too 😄💖

I like your thought provoking posts like the one about your siblings and your post about bum days. I also like reading about your travelling adventures and what you have been up to in general!

  5. yikes, i’ve been so bad at commenting and blog hopping :
i don’t always remember blog topics but i remember the ideas that bloggers have talked about before…if that makes sense. i remember reading about your adventures in Sokcho though! :’D

hm, i don’t really have any topic in particular because i think bloggers should blog about whatever they want. But, i really enjoy your adventures and favorites post, especially when you feature video games and/or beauty/skincare products ;)

  6. I remember most of these posts, but there were a few that I missed so thanks for sharing your favs so I could go back and catch up on those ones. :)

I think one of my favorite posts that you wrote this year is the one about your siblings. That was such a personal and beautiful post, and I know it must have been hard for you to share, but I loved it all the more for that. I loved how real and genuine it was, and I also got to know a little bit more about you.

I always love personal posts that let me get to know the blogger more or just more insight into their lives. Every day adventures or vacations are always fun to read about and it’s interesting to see how people do things differently! :)

  7. Wow, this year’s flown by! It doesn’t seem like two minutes since I read your Significant Books post, yet it was months and months ago! That was definitely one of my favourite posts of yours this year.

I love your personal posts, and also your Blogger Dossiers – I love finding out more about bloggers! Definitely think you should do more of these posts in 2017!

  8. This is such a great idea! One of my blogging goals for 2017 is to be consistent with blogging columns, I really enjoy how organised everything is on your blog!

My favourite blog post by you this year has to be the importance of bum days, I remember after reading it and meeting with a friend, I talked about your blog post to her and how it really did connect with me as I often do find myself really busy in a whirlwind of things to do and people to meet!

I’d love to see more Blogger Dossiers and Favourite Things (I always love what people say about products etc) Keep it up!

  9. Wow, you’ve written a lot of interesting stuff! I need to blog more about non-boring stuff! XD
