My Favourite Things: December 2015

My Favourite Things is a precursor to TC’s Treasures. Starting in November 2016, all My Favourite Things posts will be known as TC’s Treasures.

It’s the first Tuesday of December, and it’s time to do Raisa and Eirene’s wonderful link-up, My Favourite Things. In fact, this month makes it a year since I first participated in this linkup! So because it’s been a year and it’s almost the end of 2015, I decided to compile a list of my favourite Aigoo Chamna’s blog posts for 2015 here!

January 27, 2015 ~ Kansai Trip 2015 ~ This post highlights my trip to Kansai. My visit to Osaka and Kyoto in Japan was an adventure I will never forget!

March 20, 2015 ~ Being Bilingual ~ This entry is the first in a series of entries where I’ve written about my personal identity and experiences. This covers my experiences of being a bilingual speaker of Korean and English.

May 7, 2015 ~ A Korean Adoptee Tale ~ This is the next in my personal experience series. This post goes over how I’m a Korean adoptee and how it has taken me so long to admit being one.

June 21, 2015 ~ TC the Introvert ~ In this next personal series post, I’ve written about being an introvert and how I cope working in a job that’s not really suited for my nature!

August 6, 2015 ~ A Chromebook Experience This entry covers my experiences of being a first-time Chromebook user and how I love the machine despite its limitation.

August 9, 2915 ~ Misconceptions on Language and Location ~ This is another personal experience series post, and I’ve written about my frustrations of people assuming I’m not a native English speaker just because of my location. Location may contribute to someone’s language and cultural background, but that is not always the case!

August 15, 2015 ~ Lucky Thirteen Birthday ~ I’ve written this post celebrating my domain’s thirteenth birthday. The comments I’ve received on this post cracked me up. And no, my domain have not become a rebellious teenager! XD

October 11, 2015 ~ The Assets of Diversification ~ This entry showcases the diverse world I’ve grown up in and how grateful I am to have been exposed to such diversity on a daily basis. This is the next in my personal experience series.

November 1, 2015 ~ Adventuring Alone ~ In preparation for my solo travels, I’ve typed up why I’m content to travel alone and all the benefits travelling solo provide. This is the most recent post in my personal experience series.

November 16, 2015 ~ Sokcho Trip 2015 ~ And last, but not the least, here’s the post that highlights my solo trip to Sokcho!

I had a lot of favourite posts this year, but I forced myself to pick my top ten, and these are it. Going back through my posts, I feel that I wrote a lot for my blog this year. In fact, I feel like I balanced out my posts with the more personal and meaningful posts with the materialistic posts and my monthly column posts. I hope you all enjoyed my favourite blog posts for the year. See you all next month for another round of My Favourite Things!

  1. Hello Tara! It’s my first time here in your blog and I can say that from one look you write well! Happy December to you. I always wanted to travel outside my country wish I can do it next year.

    • Hi, Jeanie! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll get a chance to travel overseas in the future!

  2. I’ll have to check out them all, I’m not sure I’ve seen the ones from the beginning of the year but they sound interesting :)

  3. Wow you’ve written on a lot of interesting stuff! =3

    • Yeah, I tried XD;; I don’t like to write about the same stuff all the time! Variety is life.

  4. Interesting round-up of your monthly favorites! I remember that entry you wrote about travelling alone, and I’m finally flying to another state tomorrow all by myself! I’ll be meeting my auntie in North Carolina, though, so it’s not entirely a solo trip. Hehe!

    • Like I said to you on Twitter, I hope you’ll have a fun trip! It’s not entirely solo, but that’s okay! Travelling alone isn’t always necessary :3

  5. Thanks so much for sharing some of your highlighted posts, I am looking forward to going through them! I look forward to your personal experiences on the topics of diversities and just your life experience in your journey in life this far :)

    • I hope you like them if you get a chance to read them! Couple of the posts were a challenge to write, but I’m so glad I did :)

  6. Your Chromebook review is my favorite! XD I think this roundup of favorite posts was a great idea. I might steal it one day. >:D

    • Do itttt! I would love to see what you consider to be your favourite posts! ^^

  7. Ooh I like this list. I remember reading and liking your post about misconceptions and locations and being bilingual. I’ll definitely check out the rest!

    • Hope you’ll like the others like you like the location and bilingual posts :3

  8. Wow, it has been a year since you took part of My Favorite Things?!?! Time flies! I remembered those posts you made :D. I think there are some good lessons in a good chunk of those posts, such as being bilingual, who you are, and the fact that it’s fine to do solo travels!

Congratulations on keeping your domain for 13+ years! I think it’s a great milestone because there are some domains that doesn’t last more than 8 months (not that there’s anything wrong with this) and you’re here going strong ;).

    Keep it up~

    • I know! I can’t believe the year went by so fast!

And yeah, I’m amazed I’ve kept my domain this long, too! I didn’t think it’d last this long, honestly XD

  9. Wow! I loved the way you listed the stuff that has happened on your blog! It has been a great blog year! 13 years of blogging! Wow!
I’m going to read some of the many posts I haven’t read. I’m sure they will be awesome!

    Take Care!

    • Thanks! I hope you like what I wrote :3 I actually blogged for 14 years, but I’ve owned Aigoo for 13 years ^^

  10. This is a great idea to list your favorite entries for the year! It’s a nice way to look back on the year too :) I remember reading all of those!

    • Yeah, it is a good way to look back on the year :3 I figured it’d be a perfect way to do MFT in December! ^^

  11. This is such an amazing idea that I might have to do myself. I tend to reminisce a lot and reflect over the year so this would be a great way to do it!

I have traveled solo but always ended up meeting with friends and bunking with them, I hope one of these days I muster the strength to actually travel alone and survive (lol! I’m such a scaredy cat).

    • Do it! It’s interesting to see what posts the blogger considers to be their favourites or best :3

I hope you’ll get a chance to travel alone one day. It’s not really that bad, honestly, and with smartphone being a super useful tool, I think it made travelling alone easier!

  12. I’m slowly going through these links, thanks for sharing them!
You’re definitely one of my favorite bloggers because you are so organized and you write of eloquently!

    • Awww, thanks! I don’t think I write that well, so to read that, I’m happy! And yeah, I try to be organised . . . but I don’t always succeed, but I guess I do all right with blogging! XD;
