My Favourite Things is a precursor to TC’s Treasures. Starting in November 2016, all My Favourite Things posts will be known as TC’s Treasures.

It’s August, everyone! Here’s the new edition of “My Favourite Things“, an amazing blog link-up hosted by Raisa and Eirene. My favourites this month will feature people that I want to take the time to thank for saving my sanity last month! I had so much going on with work, website tasks, and hospital crap that if it weren’t for these amazing bunch of people, I’d have gone nuts! Some of them are fellow bloggers and some are real life friends, and I couldn’t have kept it together if it weren’t for them! ♥

Twitter

Twitter Buddies

Chynna, Decrescendo, Georgie, Kalliste, Kya, Nancy, Raisa, and Silver are awesome Twitter buddies. We DM or tweet at each other a lot, and they’ve been helpful with a lot of my website tasks. I’ve been more active on Twitter, thanks to them. Sure the 140 character limits can be a pain at time, but it’s been still wonderful communicating with them. Thank you, ladies, for all the Twitter fun!

Google Hangouts and KakaoTalk

Google Hangouts & KakaoTalk Buddies

My friend M in the US, my friend M in Guam, and Chantelle have kept me sane on Google Hangouts and KakaoTalk. When I’m on my desktop PC or on my phone, we message back and forth to keep in touch. In fact, with Guam M and Chantelle, I’ve been keeping them abreast of my mum’s situation, so that really helped me stay calm and collected. Thank you, M & M and Chantelle for listening to me and supporting me!

RL Buddies

Finally, when I need real social interaction, Chantelle, Chibi Toaster, and D. have been wonderful buddies to meet up and have lunch, dinner, or coffee. They are fun to hang out with, and we have the best conversations. Thank you for giving me a reason not to be a hermit, haha! You guys all rock!

Really, thank you all again for keeping me sane. With Mum out of the hospital, that’s one less thing off my plate, so I hope August won’t be full of crazies. See you next month for more “My Favourite Things”!

  1. Hurray on another Favorite things post :D. You’re on a roll with these things and yet, I keep on missing the deadline XD. (darn my scheduling). Social media is awesome; you get to chat to people, even if they’re thousands of miles away! I can’t seem to get into those messenger apps! I am lucky enough to even be on GroupMe, but I’m pretty much a mean person most of the time on there XD. Maybe it’s just the fact that I have to go out of my way for another app that pushes me off *___*. And yes, aside from all of the online buddies, you need a fair share of IRL buddies! It’s great to have friends who blogs too in real life ;D

    • They recently decided to keep the link-up opened for two weeks instead of one week, so do try and join! :D

Social media is awesome, and I’m thankful for its advantages. I love how it’s handy and allow us to communicate with people from all over the world! I do prefer instant messaging when it’s something that requires a long bit of communication, but Twitter is good for short-term convos!

  2. Aww, I am glad that we can be there for you via Twitter. It’s great to have people that you can connect with and chat with often. Both via Twitter, Google and in real life. *hugs*

I am also sorry to hear about your mum and I hope that everything is okay. I am really sorry that I also didn’t realise. *double hug*

    • Thanks for your concern, Kya! Everything is going well as it can be so far! :D I am glad I had my friends all over to keep me sane! ^^

  3. YAY for twitter friends! :) I like conversations in twitter because they can be random and fun and short and quirky. They don’t have to be too serious and everyone is happy with that :)

    • Sometimes for longer conversations, Twitter’s character limits can be a nuisance, and that’s when instant messengers is preferable! But Twitter is good for short, fun conversation, like you said! :D

  4. Crazy how social media and other tools can help us connect easier now a days! Remember when messenger was like the only want to really connect with people? Now there are so many options and on the go! I am glad you have so much support around you! It can be hard to deal with things on your own, but with a great support system you can get through any obstacle in life. I hope everything goes better this month.

    • There are definitely more options now. I didn’t realise that until you pointed it out! And that’s good that we have plenty of ways to communicate :D Each have their purposes so it’s good we don’t have to be limited to one thing.

And thanks! I hope everything is better this month, too!

  5. Friendies are definitely the ones who keep our sanity. :) I’m so glad you and Chantelle are real life friends too since you both live in Seoul! If you need another person to ramble to feel free to DM me on Twitter. I only feel bad I’m not the most active person around since I have so much going on all the time!

    • Technically we don’t live in the same city, but we’re close enough that we can meet up from time to time, providing that our schedule work out right XD

And thank you for the offer! If I ever need to ramble on, I”ll take on your offer! The same goes to you, too! If you ever need to vent or talk, feel free to message me! Don’t feel bad that you’re not “active”. Nothing to feel bad about, really! I’ve got tons to do, too, so I’ll respond when I can :3

  6. Aw, aw, aw! Thank you for including me in your post this month! I’m glad I could help, and of course I’ll always be around if you need anymore :) Thank God for online/offline friends; they definitely keep my sanity – without them I would go cray cray.

    • Thank you for your help with the giveaway! If it hadn’t been for your expertise, I’d not have succeeded with it! ^^

  7. Thanks for mentioning me! :D Your post makes me realize how Korean KakaoTalk is. Everyone has it here, but outside of Korean it almost doesn’t exist. Anyway, I look forward to hanging out again with you tomorrow. ^^ It’ll be fun and, of course, I’m still hoping your mother has a smooth and swift recovery.

    • KakaoTalk is definitely Korean, but I got friends who live outside of Korea using it, so it’s fabulous when I want to get a hold of them!

  8. Yay for Twitter buddies! <3 I also use Viber a lot to stay in touch with my family and friends. I also like Line. I can't handle any more messaging apps than that. XD

    • LOL. Viper and Line is not used by many here, so I don’t see the point of using those. KakaoTalk is good enough XD
