Unusual Cajun Pasta Salad

This post is old, so what you see here may not reflect my current opinion and mindset, certain information may be outdated, and links may be broken.

I was hungry for something different, something “new”. I surveyed my pantry, and thus came up with this strange combination of food to make a pasta salad. Strange or not, it ended up tasting pretty good. Not bad for creating something completely on a whim!

Unusual Cajun Pasta Salad

3-5 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 cups boiled pasta
1 cup of fresh spinach
1 can of sliced olives, drained
1 can of corn, drained
1 can of peas, drained
1 can of tuna, drained

In a large mixing bowl, mix everything together. If you need more olive oil or Cajun seasoning, add it in!

This looks very delicious, cool, and healthy. It doesn’t look like it was on a whim, but planned. I guess that’s how all great artists are. Anyway, I would like to try this out some time when it’s hot during this summer. :9

    • Yeah, pasta salads are great for summer because they end up tasting good chilled :) I am going to try and make some better ones, hopefully!

  2. Pasta salad is pretty common and delicious when it’s uniquely made! Just looking at your cajun pasta salad is making me hungry already! I like the pea and corn combo mix within the salad :).

A lot of people are always busy at this time around so it’s fine :)! I hope you had a fun time during your time off :)! Welcome back, Tara :D!

We should have a blogging party or something XD!

    • A blogging party sounds like a good idea! But I’m still busy :( I just have so much on my plate!

And I’m glad my pasta salad looked yummy to you. I love the peas/corn combination, too :)

Hiya! I just wanted to let you know I moved my blog from Panikku.com over to Ochitsuki.net. Please let me know if you would rather not link exchange with me. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  4. Wow, this looks so tasty actually and very healthy. :) I like that there is corn in it, too. :)

  5. Wow Tara! Looks like you’ve been in a real cooking mood lately! Wouldn’t be surprised I’d you started a cooking blog, or turned your blog into one. All the food you’ve been making is delicious.

The salad sure sounds unusual because of the Cajun… but everything else is normal! I used to think tuna and pasta was odd but it’s frankly delicious.

    • Tuna and pasta do make great combination. And the Cajun seasoning is totally optional LOL. You could always try something else, like balsamic vinegar dressing or something.

I do not foresee this becoming a cooking blog at all. I go through my phases, and cooking is definitely one of them :D I like keeping a blog that focuses on a variety of things rather than one specific topic.

    • I hope you enjoy it when you do try this recipe LOL. I don’t think it will be fit everyone’s taste buds, but it is certainly something different.

WOW that looks delicious! I’ll definitely be coming here when I feel in the cooking mood, haha. Looks like I have all those ingredients, aswell. Yay!

    • LOL. I don’t always post cooking stuff, though. Many of my cooking posts are recipes that I’ve tried from other sites. This one is probably like one of the few ones I’ve created myself.

  8. I’ve eaten cooked spinach, but never raw. I’m a bit sceptical, because the roof of my mouth tends to be a bit numb. Nevertheless, from the picture you posted, it does look appetising.

    Mmm, pasta.
