Easy Chocolate Fudge

This post is old, so what you see here may not reflect my current opinion and mindset, certain information may be outdated, and links may be broken.

My newest baking (Fudging? Candying? Cooking?!) project was to make this fudge. I cannot say it was easy — stirring that thing was harder than stirring one of my cakes! However it did turn out delicious. Very rich and sweet. I think next time I’ll use 1/2 sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 non-sweetened condensed milk. Or will that be a bad idea? Hrm.

Easy Chocolate Fudge
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Line 8- or 9-inch square baking pan with foil.
2. Combine morsels and sweetened condensed milk in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Warm over lowest possible heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in nuts and vanilla extract.
3. Spread evenly into prepared baking pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into 48 pieces.
