Losing My Voice

This post is old, so what you see here may not reflect my current opinion and mindset, certain information may be outdated, and links may be broken.

I’ve been sick since Sunday.

On Tuesday, my sinuses felt sore.

On Wednesday, the soreness moved to my throat.

Yesterday, I was coughing like a dog.

Today, I just could not talk. My voice sounded hoarse and it would not go loud as I wanted it to. I’ve always wondered what it felt like to get laryngitis or something. While I didn’t entirely lose my voice today, I think I now know what it feels like. Beside having a semi-laryngitis with my job, where I have to raise my voice to be heard over loud preschooler, is not exactly fun. I could not get any group disciplining done today with this voice of mine.

…And I still feel awful. To the point that I even skipped my make-up class, and if you know me, I RARELY skip classes. But I need my rest… I am so sick of being ill. I want this to go away before it lands me in the hospital or something.

Now I want to skip my Asian Philosophy class tomorrow.

  1. Oh no, sickness! That sounds really terrible. Are you going to go to a clinic?

  2. Kudarania on

Ugh, I hate being sick. I hope you feel better soon. You might want to go to see a doctor about it – it seems like it’s just getting worse. Rest up and have lots of juice and make sure you take something for the sinuses and your throat. And feel better soon!
