20 Straight Days

This post is old, so what you see here may not reflect my current opinion and mindset, certain information may be outdated, and links may be broken.

That’s right, 20 straight days with no days off whatsoever. Tomorrow shall be my first day off since January 27. Thank goodness. I don’t think I would have lasted much longer going at this rate. It’s amazing how the last eight days at the middle school exhausted me both mentally and physically. I deserve a day off.

Not only do I deserve a day off, I decided to splurge and buy this game today: Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia, accompanied with an artbook. And the cool part? It’s freaking $10 bucks cheaper at the PX than on Amazon. Aside from that, I decided to also buy this Illustrated Children’s Bible. No, I did not become religious. I decided to buy that book to replace the copy that mysteriously disappeared. Believe it or not, I liked that book when I received that in fifth grade. This will also help with my Bible as Literature class. I purchased this book from a third-party seller for 51 cents. How sad is that the grand total came to be $6.50? All because of the expedited shipping rate. *sighs*

Despite having tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday off, I’m still occupied to my bones with school and work. The following stuff is what I dread:

* Feb 20 ~ 23: Sub @ High School
* Feb 20: IFSM310 Midterm
* Feb 24: ENGL388 Midterm
* Mar 17: ENGL388 Final Exam / Term Paper due
* Mar 18: IFSM310 Final Exam
* Mar 19: JAPN334 Book Review

Can you see why I am dreading March 17, 18, and 19? Shoot me now. I almost ended up having my IFSM310 Midterm on February 25, but I talked to the professor and see if I could take it earlier. Our original test day was supposed to be February 18, but it’s Lunar New Year…and a bunch of AMERICAN STUDENTS (not the Korean students who actually celebrate the holiday) wanted to extend it to next week. I, wanting to get it out of the way and not wanting to take two exams back to back like the way my final exam week will be, opted to take a proctored one instead.

Now all I have to do is study. But first… I NEED SLEEP.

*** Today, I talked with Mi Son for a good hour and half. It was good hearing her voice. I miss her so much. Buuuut… I spent $37 on my dad’s prepaid cellphone. Oops. He doesn’t mind though! And it was worth the $37 to talk to her and catch up on stuff!

  1. Man I can’t believe you sub middle school, that’s rough. All that work is hard-core enough to and then to couple it with 12-year-olds. I’m surprised you’re still alive to tell the tale!

  2. The last year in college is the busiest and most difficult one…

  3. It’s good that you’re finally getting a day off! Your schedule is crazy!

  4. Chibi Misao on

    Yikes, I didn’t know you subbed for middle school, too! Glad you finally have a break :) Good luck with everything coming up!

  5. Good luck with your exams!

    Yes…us crazy Americans =P We do a lot of things like extending deadlines…in my school anyway. You never stop hearing us complain =P

  6. Blah, I have finals in a week too, so I know exactly how you feel. :) I’ve had some nostalgia from when I was a kid too since Christian bought me the Kiki’s Delivery Service DVD (and Princess Mononoke DVD!) for Valentines. :D I’ve been on such a kick, I think I might order Totoro and other favorites from when I was a kid.
